CBD Calculator: How To Blend CBD, CBG, CBN With Any Carrier Oil Or Base Material Using Mass and Density
This calculator has been designed to assist professional manufacturers of CBD products with blending the appropriate amount of hemp extract distillate or isolate with their base carrier oil or blend.
This calculator can be used when infusing your oil, salve, cream or other product with Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabinol (CBN) or other cannabinoids extracts.
This calculator utilizes Mass-Based calculations to assist in blending the optimal amount of Cannabinoid into your product. We utilize Mass-Based calculations to ensure your Cannabinoid concentration is as accurate as possible.
You’ll need to know a few things before using this calculator as detailed below:
- Milligrams of CBx Per Bottle (CBD, CBG, CBN, etc.)
How many milligrams of CBD or other cannabinoid would you like to include in each bottle or container? This value should be in milligrams. - Total Bottles Manufactured
How many bottles or containers are you manufacturing? - Size of Bottle (In Milliliters)
What is the total final quantity of material in the bottle or container. This amount must be entered in milliliters (30mL = 1 oz) - CBx Potency
What is the concentration of CBD or target cannabinoid in the raw distillate or isolate you are using? - Variance Adjustment of CBx
Due to lab-testing and other variances that may be introduced during the blending process, it is recommended that you add a variance adjustment of 4% to 5% for distillates and 2% for isolates - Base Oil Density (grams per milliliter)
This mass-based value uses the density of your base material to help provide a more accurate measurement. Most base carrier oils are between 0.93 and 0.97 g/mL. Various tools are available via major search engines that can provide you with the density of your base oil(s).
